Clifton Hill
A Complex Architectural Project
With a complex and highly specific brief from architect Grant
Cheyne, NPR Building Concepts constructed new rooms and renovated
the existing building in this stunning apartment. Spacious enough
to function as a family home, the finished project achieves the
bold and beautiful aesthetic the clients longed for, with plentiful
room and a practical layout that will make day-to-day living
easy.
A mix of industrial features, including daring colours,
carefully-selected light fittings, internal exposed brick and an
avant-garde ambience has resulted in a striking a functional home
that the owners will cherish for years to come. Despite the
emphasis on industrial décor and design, the home exudes warmth and
comfort.
By having thorough and open communication between the architect,
clients, subcontractors and the team at NPR Building Concepts, the
challenging project has surpassed expectations. Tailored to suit
the clients' lifestyle, the apartment features steel Z purlins and
hand-cut tiles on the entry floor, as well as Swedish nylon
matting, which has been used in the en-suite.
With intricate, exacting specifications to adhere to - as well
as the need to construct as new en-suite and walk-in wardrobe on
the third level that would blend seamlessly with the existing home
and the specific aesthetic - NPR Building Concepts was set a
considerable task in completing the project.
